### Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the HPB team as a Junior Clinical Fellow. This role includes supporting the HPB team with inpatient ward rounds and associated duties, along with the opportunity to participate in research and emergency duties.

### Main duties of the job

The main clinical duties include:

- Admission and review of patients in the Emergency Department.
- Supporting the HPB and on-call team in theatre.
- Supporting the HPB team with ward rounds.

### Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The main duties of the role are:

- Participation in clinical audit within the Unit.
- Opportunity to engage in clinical research.
- Active involvement in the training and supervision of Junior Medical Staff and medical students on ward rounds, in theatre and in clinics.
- To take part in the junior clinical fellow on-call rota for General Surgery.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

- Previous experience in HPB / General Surgery

### Experience

**Essential**

- - Firm grounding in junior level surgery.
- Ability to provide a complete employment history.
- Evidence of achievement of foundation competencies.
- Experience of acute surgical take.
- Previous NHS experience.

- Experience in conducting and publishing research. Experience in conducting audits.
