We are looking for doctors with post foundation experience to work at Junior Clinical Fellow level in Emergency Medicine in the Emergency Department.

The posts are for 6 or 12 months duration, full time, commencing 5th August 2026.  The post is at Denmark Hill ED which is a designated Major Trauma Centre (SE5 9RS) .

Successful candidates will join a dynamic emergency workforce treating a wide spectrum of emergency medicine presentations in South-East London.  This is a great opportunity to broaden your experience while working in a friendly and supportive environment.

There is a strong training culture incorporating lecture-room teaching and clinical supervision, opportunities to attend relevant clinics and courses, and full immersion simulation sessions.  There may be opportunities for flexible working, provided all shifts are covered. The post holders will work up to 48 hours per week (including night shifts and weekend duties). The rota is self-rostered.

### Main duties of the job

The primary duties of the post are to assess and manage patients within the  Emergency Department.  Support is provided by consultants until midnight daily and by Middle Grades 24/7.

### Detailed job description and main responsibilities

This is a 6 or 12 month post in the Emergency Department. This is excellent  opportunity to be signed off for competencies.    The department is a Level 1 Major Trauma Centre for both adults and children and  fully accredited for Emergency Medicine training.

### Experience

- Significant post qualification work in acute or emergency specialties

- Previous ED experience
- Relevant procedural skills
- Research experience or publications

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- MBBS or equivalent
- Full registration with GMC

**Desirable**

- Relevant parts of post-graduate diplomas (e.g. MCEM part A etc)
- ATLS, ALS, APLS (or equivalent)
