### Job overview

As a Junior BI Developer, you’ll join a group of teaching hospitals collaborating with Hull York Medical School, driving innovation in research and specialised medicine. You’ll be part of a 20,000-strong team, working across five hospital sites, and benefit from a supportive environment where your skills and dedication are valued.

### Main duties of the job

- Log and investigate application and interface issues, providing advice and workarounds.
- Advise clients on bespoke in-house applications and interface capabilities.
- Analyse customer requirements and liaise with clients to resolve queries and provide solutions.
- Create and alter design documentation in line with Trust and third-party software provider policies.
- Assist in the development of bespoke applications using tools such as .Net Framework.
- Create test scripts and conduct testing of in-house and third-party systems.
- Contribute to the design, development, and testing of applications and interfaces.

## Person Specification

### Experience

**Essential**

- Knowledge of programming languages, such as T-SQL and C#.

**Desirable**

- One or more years’ experience working in a Software development role or environment gathering and analysing user requirements
- Experience using hospital systems such as Lorenzo.
- Experience of developing healthcare DWH solutions.
- Experience of developing clinical systems.
- At least one year’s experience creating design documentation and test scripts for software.

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in a range of IM&T areas.
- Degree in a computer science related discipline

**Desirable**

- Evidence of ongoing personal development
- Evidence of understanding of medical terminology.
