We are looking for an innovative and forward-thinking nurse to work within a developing community-based team - the Community Intravenous Therapy Service, within the Tameside and Glossop area. The service launched in 2015, primarily providing intravenous medications in patients own homes, the service has gone from strength to strength developing new and outstanding Nurse lead services including the development of a community clinic where we provide therapies such as venesection, iron infusions Midline placement and synacthen testing. Exceptional standards of care and development are our passion, if you would like to join a team that strives for outstanding care and personal development in vascular access and intravenous therapies, please apply, we look forward to hearing from you. ### Main duties of the job This role will require the post holder to work across community health care in Tameside and Glossop. Supporting home intravenous therapy for patients discharged from Tameside Hospital and other neighboring hospitals, direct referrals from General practitioners to faciliate admision avoidance to the acute hospital setting. The post holder will support the lead in IV therapy and the band 6 nurse in the delivery of IV therapy across Tameside and Glossop. Proficient in venepuncture, cannulation and IV medication reconstitution and administration.
