At present, University Hospitals of North Midlands is unable to offer visa sponsorship for Band 2 to Band 4 roles, as these positions do not meet the minimum salary and skill thresholds required under UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations.

The NMBC is responsible for the Strategic and Operational Procurement for UHNM (Royal Stoke University and County Hospitals), RWT (New Cross and Cannock Hospitals), WHT (Walsall Manor Hospital),North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare (NSCHC), Black Country Healthcare NHS Trust (BCH) and the Black Country Pathology Service (BCPS) and 36 partner NHS organisations within the Staffordshire, Shropshire, Cheshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Lancashire Health Economies. The NMBC is responsible for the management and control of expenditure in excess of £600 million across the Midlands and Black Country health economies.

This post sits in the Commercial Contract Management team and is based at the Royal Stoke University Hospital site. Reporting to the Contracts Manager within the Commercial Contracts Managements team, the role is directly responsible for a contract portfolio including Medical and Non-Medical goods and services.

### Main duties of the job

The Trust offers 27 days annual leave on appointment, rising to 29 days after 5 years' of service and 33 days after 10 years' of service. In addition, there is also the potential to accrue hours towards flexi-leave in accordance with the flexible working policy.

The role will support the management of a portfolio of commercial contracts identifying savings and efficiencies through contract review, analysis and performance monitoring.

Supporting the Departments' national / regional obligations & the implementation of the local Procurement strategy, maximising value for money, minimising operational / commercial risk, ensuring compliance with EU Procurement Legislation, UK Law and the Trust's Standing Financial Instructions.

- Previous working experience/knowledge of procurement, contracting or commercial activity
