We are seeking an enthusiastic Continuity of Carer Midwife to join our continuity care provision.

This opportunity is open to:

- Midwives currently employed on a fixed-term contract who wish to secure a permanent position
- Midwives working in other areas of WAHT maternity services who are interested in moving into a continuity model of care

This advert is specifically for post-preceptorship Band 6 Midwives.

Band 6 Midwives: Youll work flexibly and autonomously across antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal settings (inpatient/community) with a defined caseload, ensuring seamless continuity for those in your care. You'll role model best practice, support junior staff and promote high standards across our service.

You will join a small integrated approachable team that values personalised care, teamwork and growth. Our commitment was reflected in our recent CQC inspection, where maternity services were ratedGood.

The sytle and format of interviews will be confirmed once shortlisting has been completed and candidate numbers are known.

### Main duties of the job

As a dedicated midwife, your main duties will revolve around providing safe, clinically effective and individualised care to women and birthing people throughout their pregnancy journey.

This role offers the opportunity to build meaningful relationships, support positive birth experiences, and make a genuine impact on the health and wellbeing of our community. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will deliver safe, high-quality, and compassionate care.

Youll work flexibly across antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal settings (inpatient/community) with a defined caseload, ensuring seamless continuity for those in your care. Excellent communication, clinical confidence, and a passion for promoting choice are essential.

This allows you to gain transferrable skills such as time management, managing your own caseload and team working.

### Experience

**Essential**

- 1) Please demonstrate your knowledge and practical experience across a broad range of maternity services, including your midwifery experience within our WAHT Continuity Model
- 2) Experience of mentoring junior colleagues/students

### Qualifications

- 1) BSc (Hons) Midwifery or equivalent qualification
