Job overview

This is an exciting new opportunity to improve the quality in mental health, and learning disability inpatient services and inpatient care for autistic people across Cheshire and Merseyside, Lancashire and South Cumbria and Greater Manchester.

The candidate will support systems in implementing the National Quality Transformation project, via each ICB 3 year plan to localise and realign inpatient services in line with the National Inpatient Quality Transformation Programme.

Fixed term until end of March 2027.

Main duties of the job

The Post holder is key to the success of the programme of work in Greater Manchester, Lancashire and South Cumbria, and Cheshire and Merseyside, in transforming inpatient services to improve quality and ensure best use of resource.

The successful candidate will need to work in collaboration with all stakeholders, support the collation and analysis of data, including on demand, capacity, activity and cost, and use their analytical skills to identify and communicate gaps in current provision, and develop plans to address these.

A key part of the role will be to translate key pieces of national policy and strategy into practice and support services to implement and embed in local plans as appropriate.

The post-holder will need to ensure that all of the work is co-produced and co-delivered and a range of lived experience voices are embedded throughout. Therefore the ability to form strong, supportive and effective working relationships with partners is essential.
