The successful candidate will work as part of a team facilitating the prevention, surveillance, investigation and control of infection for both acute and community integrated care.  You will have a sound knowledge of clinical nursing and an understanding of the basic principles of infection control.  You will need to have the ability and drive to empower and facilitate effective infection control practice. You will be based at the Conquest hospital but work at other Trust sites when required. You will work with the team to contain and reduce the incidence of infection across the Trust through risk assessment, surveillance, audit, intervention and education and national and local policy.  You will support the delivery of the Trust's IPC strategy and annual programme of work. and take part in quality improvement initiatives. You will be involved in responding to and supporting the management of outbreaks and incidents of  infection, necessitating the wearing of personal protective equipment.
