St Bartholomew’s Hospital

The General Imaging team at Barts Health is looking to recruit a talented radiographer to join the leadership team as the Imaging Quality & Education Lead Radiographer for St Bartholomew’s Hospital.

We have dynamic clinical teams and are looking for a visible and motivating leader with a strong focus on Quality and Education. This Position will be based at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital which is in the heart of the City of London- St. Paul’s.

### Main duties of the job

The post holder will be credible and a visible role model, both managerially and professionally, promoting and delivering quality clinical standards within Imaging at Barts Health.  They will bring dedication and energy to improving patient experience, staff satisfaction, clinical pathways and performance standards, through effective communication with patients, staff and stakeholders.

This is an exciting role, with the successful candidate representing the Imaging service.

### Skills

**Essential**

- Ability to interpret national and local guidelines
- Excellent organisational skills and prioritising skills.
- Ability to manage own work programme and to prioritise deadlines
- Demonstrated capability to plan over short, medium and long- term timeframes and adjust plans and resource requirements accordingly
- Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to write evidence based reports

### Experience

**Essential**

- Extensive experience in radiographer services
- Broad range of post graduate clinical demonstrable experience in diagnostic imaging for a minimum of three years
- Working towards CQC /HSE Compliance
- Experience of change management
- Demonstrable experience of teaching, supervising and assessing at least one radiographic staff group (such as student, assistant practitioners, practitioners, radiographers, advanced practitioners)
- Assisting with investigation into complaints and incidents for quality improvement
- Demonstrable experience of staff management/supervision

**Desirable**

- Working towards Imaging Quality Standards accreditations

### Qualifications & Knowledge

**Essential**

- To hold DCR(R) or BSc Hons degree in Diagnostic Imaging
- Current and up to date state HCPC registration
- Leadership training
- Knowledge and understanding of NHS structure and organisation
- Knowledge of different methods/styles for teaching and learning
- Has knowledge of management theory, including personnel management, risk management and health and safety

**Desirable**

- Post graduate qualification in Education
- RPS training
- Quality Improvement training
