This is an exciting opportunity to work within a busy diagnostic imaging service, supporting patients and staff across a range of specialist areas including CT, MRI, Ultrasound and the Radiology Day Care Unit. Applicants should be well organised, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be confident using IT systems. Previous experience within a healthcare environment is desirable, together with a Level 3 NVQ in Health and Social Care (or equivalent experience). We are looking for a motivated, compassionate and adaptable individual who enjoys working as part of a multidisciplinary team and is committed to delivering high quality patient care. . ### Main duties of the job The role involves supporting Radiologists, Radiographers and Radiology Nurses in the delivery of safe and effective patient care across a range of imaging services. Duties include: - Supporting patients before, during and after examinations and procedures. - Assisting with ultrasound, CT, MRI and interventional radiology activities. - Supporting sterile procedures. - Undertaking venepuncture and cannulation following appropriate training and competency assessment. - Chaperoning patients where required. - Assisting with the smooth day-to-day running of imaging services. - Undertaking administrative duties including appointment management on the Radiology Information System (RIS) and liaison with wards and clinical teams. The post is 22.5 hours per week and requires flexible working Monday to Friday on a rotating shift pattern including: - 07:30 – 15:30 - 08:30 – 17:00 - 12:00 – 20:00 Working days will vary according to the rota and will be provided with a minimum of six weeks' notice.
