### Job overview

Oversee the day-to-day system administration of the Image Exchange Portal (IEP), ensuring its smooth and efficient operation for all users.

This includes providing comprehensive application guidance and user support, as well as troubleshooting and resolving any issues or problems that arise.

The role also involves managing the secure import and export of imaging data via external media, maintaining data integrity and compliance with relevant standards.

In addition, offer support to the PACS team when required, collaborating to ensure seamless imaging workflows and effective system performance across services.

### Main duties of the job

- Communicate effectively with internal staff and external suppliers to ensure a seamless and efficient service
- Provide information, guidance, and training to users to promote appropriate and optimal use of the IEP system
- Clearly communicate complex information through multiple channels, including written documents, computer-based systems, telephone, face-to-face interactions, and reports
- Monitor and coordinate the IEP worklist and email inbox, ensuring all requests are managed, prioritised, and processed in a timely and professional manner
- Assist with the uploading and downloading of patient imaging between IEP and PACS, ensuring accuracy and compliance with protocols
- Act as a local expert in word processing, databases, operating systems, radiology systems, and bespoke computer information systems
- Provide first-line support for the IEP application within the Trust, troubleshooting issues and resolving user queries
- Train system users to maximise both system functionality and user capability
- Support the production of written and verbal reports on system performance and any technical issues
- Deliver ad hoc training for new employees unfamiliar with IEP systems

## Person Specification

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Level 3 (or higher) NVQ qualification in a technical subject or equivalent experience

**Desirable**

- IT qualification or PACS course

### Knowledge and experience

**Essential**

- Competency in use of Microsoft operating systems and applications
- Knowledge of PACS and RIS systems

**Desirable**

- Extensive Practical Theoretical knowledge of Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM)
