This is an exciting opportunity to join Birmingham Women’s and Childrens NHS Foundation Trust as a HR Business Partner.

The right candidate will have demonstrable HR business partnering experience, experience of workforce planning and strong technical employment legislation knowledge, the successful candidate will be someone who truly values collaborative working and has the skills and experience to support leaders with innovative and professional people solutions.

### Main duties of the job

Reporting to the Associate Director of Workforce, the HRBP will partner with a divisional leadership team providing HR leadership and counsel to:

- Enabling them to shape, translate and implement the wider people agenda;
- Ensuring the provision of a quality people solutions, aligned and responsive to the needs of our Services;
- Support our colleagues and enabling them to adapt to the changing expectations and needs of the NHS and its people
- Support our colleagues to deliver the best patient centred care.
- Provide highly complex support and advice on a comprehensive range of employment and employee relations matters including leading on supporting Employment Tribunal cases.
- Lead workforce and OD projects.
- Coach and guide Managers on specific issues, e.g. conduct, absence management, discipline or grievance, emphasising the importance of good record keeping and documentation. Support managers in resolving issues, working closely with Staff Side where necessary.
- Support with the management and implementation of organisational change.

### Qualifications

- Master or Postgraduate Diploma in HR or management qualification or equivalent work experience.
- Evidence of continuing CPD
- CIPD Member

**Desirable**

- Qualification in Employment law and/or employment relations

### Analytical and judgemental skills

- Highly experienced in managing sensitive information

### Knowledge and Nature of Experience

**Essential**

- Experience of working in an NHS setting and delivering against key workforce challenges and opportunities facing the NHS and Foundation Trusts.
- Substantial and demonstrable generalist and senior HR experience in advising senior managers on best practice
- Demonstrable knowledge of current thinking on good People practice on all aspects of HR/OD & Inclusion and diversity
- Experience of applying principles of a just and learning culture to support safety and quality

### Professional / Specialist Knowledge

**Essential**

- Experience of developing staff experience through improving diversity and inclusion
- Demonstrable experience of change management
- Experience in successfully leading and delivering transformation and OD projects
- Experience in managing complex and sensitive employment relations issues
- Experience in implementing significant changes to pay systems and other terms and conditions
