### Job overview

To support the Business Partner Team in the provision of a specialised, responsive and consistent HR service to triumvirate and corporate divisions. The HR Business Partner Team supports managers on a range of employee relations matters, terms and conditions of service and related workforce initiatives through a Business Partner model. The HR Advisor is the first point of contact for staff/managers. The HR Advisor is expected to work within Trust policies/procedures and employment law under supervision, but at times autonomously, using professional judgement and knowledge; taking advice from senior colleagues as required.

### Main duties of the job

- To provide clear, consistent and practical HR advice and support to temporary staffing employees and managers in line with Trust policies and procedures and employment law. This covers all staff groups including the medical workforce.
- To provide support to managers across a range of ER matters, including formal investigations and organisational change processes.
- Ensure all relevant activity linked to individual cases is fed into the ER case management system resulting in effective ER reporting.
- To support the HR Teams in implementing the collaboratives initiatives on pay and conditions, skill mix and workforce planning and employee engagement, assisting the team to deliver key objectives.

### Detailed job description and main responsibilities

You'll be the first point of contact for staff and managers, offering expert guidance and practical solutions that truly matter. Working closely with the HR Teams, you’ll be involved in:

- Managing and advising on formal ER cases (disciplinary, grievance, capability).
- Supporting change processes and job evaluations.
- Advising on complex terms and conditions (Agenda for Change and Medical T&Cs).
- Contributing to policy development and operational excellence.

## Person Specification

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Degree or equivalent experience
- CIPD level 5 or working towards

### Knowledge and Experience

**Essential**

- Experience in HR in a multi-skilled professional and unionised environment in a large organisation
- Employee relations case management experience and knowledge including disciplinary, capability and absence management.
- A working knowledge of employment law, current and pending legislation and change management

**Desirable**

- NHS or other healthcare experience
