We have an exciting opportunity for a HR Advisor to join the People Directorate at Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust.

Our HR team underpins all of our Trust’s activities and enables our staff to perform at their best.

The People Directorate includes,  HR Business Partnering & Employee Relations,  HR Operations, People Analytics, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion, Wellbeing and Employee Health.

The post requires some travel across all Trust’s sites; however, we have a flexible working policy and encourage the use of digital technology such as MS Teams.

### Main duties of the job

In this role you will build and maintain positive working relationships with your divisional/directorate teams, managers and staff side representative. You will be the “first point of call” for HR queries and support. This includes:

- Supporting delivery of an HR operational workload across a Division / Department(s), which will involve employee relations case work, as allocated by the Employee Relations Manager.
- Supporting the Senior HRBP in work to bring about sustainable improved results / trends against workforce key performance indicators (KPIs), including vacancy rates, sickness absence, staff survey results, turnover, exit feedback etc.
- Supporting the Senior HRBP in developing the people management capabilities of managers, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to handle staff management responsibilities effectively and in line with Trust strategy and policies. You will be:
- Educated to degree level in HR field or equivalent level of experience through working at a HR Advisor level.
- Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) member or working towards.
- Experience of advising managers on complex HR matters, including employee relations.
- Evidence of the ability to manage conflict and sensitive situations, acting with tact and diplomacy.
- Evidence of continued professional development with a focus on employment law.

### Experience

**Essential**

- Experience of advising managers and staff on HR related matters
- Previous experience in employee relations, with examples of working on complex cases and satisfying stakeholders in conflict
- Evidence of the ability to manage conflict and sensitive situations, acting with tact and diplomacy.
- Previous experience in implementation of HR strategy, change management, and measurement of performance.
- Significant experience in development and execution of staff training programmes.
- Experience in delivering resourcing strategies/initiatives for a large organisation.
- Successful development of stakeholder and communication strategies
- Previously responsible for provision of HR legal and specialist advice
- Evidence of continued professional development with a focus on employment law or HR operations

### Key Attributes

**Essential**

- Frequent requirement for concentration when dealing with HR issues, report writing, analysis of information with frequent interruptions for advice and queries
- Some exposure to distressing/emotional circumstances when dealing with staff welfare issues, redeployment/redundancy, long term sickness, grievances, disciplines
- Desk-based, with requirement to travel to other sites and engage with staff when necessary
- May need to support patients or clients in accidental incidents when necessary

- Great verbal and written communication skills, with the proven ability to manage and convey complex, sensitive, and potentially contentious information regarding a wide range of topics such as redeployment, employee relations, workforce development, and provision of evidence at disciplinary and tribunal hearings.
- Great understanding of human resources, major organisational developments, and employment legislation, supported by theory and experience.
- Understanding of equality and diversity issues with a demonstrable commitment to equality of opportunity
- Advanced analytical skills and able to draw conclusions from qualitative and quantitative data from a wide range of sources, present evidence in a clear and concise manner, compare potential courses of action, and provide recommendations on complex and specialised HR topics.
- Strategic thinker able to tactically and creatively prioritise work programs in the face of competing demands
- Ability to support the design, organisation and implementation of strategies and trainings Your healthcare closer to home
