### Main duties of the job

As a Housekeeping Assistant at Avery Healthcare, your main responsibility is to maintain cleanliness and laundry standards within the care home. You will work as part of a team and adhere to standard operating procedures, ensuring that hotel service standards are met. Additional tasks include carrying out cleaning duties as per worksheet instructions, understanding cleaning requirements of various surfaces, and treating residents with dignity and respect. The role requires you to live by our values of being caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable. You need to have knowledge of Health and Safety, Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety, COSHH assessments, and experience with cleaning laundry in a public setting. Compassion and commitment to high-quality service are essential, as is the ability to be flexible and adapt to various responsibilities at short notice. A DBS Disclosure check and proof of eligibility to work in the UK are required.
