### Job overview

Join our Women’s Health team as a Housekeeper and play a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming and well-organised environment for women, babies and families. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in maintaining high standards and thrives in a busy healthcare setting.

You will be a key member of the multidisciplinary team, helping to ensure the ward runs smoothly by supporting patient experience, maintaining stock supplies, promoting cleanliness and coordinating with support services.

We are looking for a reliable, proactive and organised individual with excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. In return, you will work in a supportive team environment where your contribution is valued and where you can make a real difference to the experience of our patients and their families every day.

### Main duties of the job

As a Housekeeper, you will be a valued member of the ward team, helping to ensure a positive experience for patients, families and staff through the delivery of high-quality non-clinical support services. You will take responsibility for coordinating ward supplies and maintaining stock levels, ensuring clinical and non-clinical areas remain organised, safe and operationally ready.

You will work closely with colleagues across nursing, midwifery and support services to help maintain a clean, welcoming and well-maintained environment, supporting infection prevention standards and the efficient running of the ward.

The role requires excellent organisational and communication skills, attention to detail, the ability to prioritise workload and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will also support meal service provision, monitor environmental standards, escalate maintenance concerns and contribute to continuous service improvement.

This is an important role for someone who is approachable, reliable and committed to delivering an excellent experience for women, babies and their families while supporting the safe and effective delivery of care.
