An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated, enthusiastic individual to join the team within the Emergency Department as full time.

In return, you will find your contribution is valued and that you are supported through excellent management and a teamwork approach, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team with doctors, health care assistants, physiotherapists, and other allied health professionals.

Hours per week: 37.5

We welcome applications from Graduate visa holders; it is important to note that you must have a minimum of 6 months before this expires at the start of your employment for training and operational reasons.

### Main duties of the job

We offer comprehensive learning and development support, excellent training opportunities and support to broaden your experience, knowledge, and skills as a qualified nurse.  You will gain extended skills training and be able to access professional development opportunities to progress.

- Have responsibility for housekeeping duties on the ward
- Disseminate good practice to ward teams to ensure service is maintained in their absence
- Provide an efficient housekeeping service, ensuring that high standards are always maintained. Ensure that  a friendly, welcoming, clean, organised, safe and comfortable working environment is provided for patients, visitors and staff

### Experience

**Essential**

- Experience of housekeeping or cleaning services, preferably in a healthcare or similar setting.

**Desirable**

- Experience of supervising or coordinating staff.
- Knowledge of infection prevention and control standards in healthcare settings.
- Experience of monitoring standards or completing audits or checklists.

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Willingness to undertake and maintain mandatory training.
- Vocational Level 3

### Knowledge & Skills

**Essential**

- Ability to communicate clearly, confidently, and courteously with a wide range of people.
