### Job overview

An opportunity has arisen  for a successful candidate to join our busy patient focused team within Facilities  Department, based at  our Community Clinics, Rhondda Taff Ely Region.   There is one position available of which will support a working routine of Monday to Friday of a total of 5 hours per week, two days per week.   Another position will support 15.0 hr contract and will be managed across a five day week.

The role will support maintaining cleanliness standards across the Health Board in line with National Standards of Cleanliness for NHS Wales and support Infection prevention and control.

### Main duties of the job

The post holder will be allocated to a community based clinic.   This team supports the housekeeping service by providing a pre-determined programme of additional cleaning activities using designated equipment and providing a rapid response to infection outbreak situations in accordance to instruction from the housekeeping supervisor and the Infection Prevention and Control team.

Welsh Skills Desirable: This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. This doesn’t mean essential; whilst the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short-listing and selecting candidates. This isn’t ‘fluency’, just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health. For more information, see ‘Welsh Language Guidance’ in the documents right at the bottom.

### Knowledge

**Essential**

- Knowledge of COSHH guidelines

**Desirable**

- Able to demonstrate literacy, numerical and comprehension skills sufficient to be able to read and understand written instructions
- Welsh language skills in Speaking/Listening at Level 3 or above

### Experience

**Essential**

- Previous cleaning experience

**Desirable**

- Previous experience working in hospital environment
