You will be expected to work at an advanced level and should aspire to lead, educate and develop others in the team. We welcome applications from clinicians currently working at band 6. Ideally you will have at least five years' NHS experience and be confident in all aspects of podiatry care and team working. You must be able to lead by example and inspire the team to work effectively and achieve good outcomes for patients. You will provide high-quality podiatric care, for people at risk of developing serious foot health complications. There is emphasis on diabetes foot protection as the population we serve has a very high incidence of diabetes. You will have the support of our friendly peer group of experienced clinicians, who are committed to providing excellent clinical care, which is patient centred and compassionate The service works closely with district nursing teams, tissue viability nurses, and local integrated teams. as well as linking with the wider MDT and PCN networks. We have a direct pathway into the Diabetic Foot Clinic at West Middlesex University Hospital. ### Main duties of the job In our vibrant and multi-cultural community, you will work from well-equipped clinic sites delivering care close to home. You will assess, diagnose, and provide high quality podiatric care to people with complex foot health needs and lower limbs that are at risk. There is emphasis on diabetes foot protection due to the high incidence of diabetes in the population we serve, You will be responsible for agreeing care plans with patients that support self-management and optimise foot health, in line with service priorities, and you will be expected to manage complex patients at an advanced level. You will be required to visit housebound patients in their own homes, so you must be able to drive and have access to a car to support their needs. You will work autonomously as well as alongside others, so you need to be flexible and well organised. You will be responsible for managing other people’s workload so need to be great at teamworking and problem solving.
