ABUHB is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic individual with highly specialised skills in the field of Tissue Viability, Diabetes and Vascular to join our advanced team.

Managing a complex and highly specialist clinical caseload of diabetic and high risk patients using evidence-based client centred principals to assess, plan, implement and evaluate podiatric tissue viability interventions in hospital and community settings, aimed at the prevention of amputation, management of foot and leg ulceration and maintenance of tissue integrity.

Single handed, autonomous assessment, diagnosis and development of care programmes for high-risk diabetic and high risk non-diabetic patients.

The lead member role within the diabetes multidisciplinary team reporting to the Clinical Lead for Acute Podiatry Services.

Supervision and training of podiatrists, podiatry assistants and student podiatrists in this specialist field, including mentoring through community based Rapid Access; High Risk and Tissue Viability clinics and clinics in the Acute setting.

### Main duties of the job

Clinically competent to give highly specialist advice, treatment, and podiatry interventions to support behavioural change and reduce foot ulceration and amputation in all age groups with complex healthcare needs, across primary and secondary care.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
