An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, experienced and highly motivated Specialist Paediatric Physiotherapist to join our  esteemed Paediatric Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Homecare Service.

This unique role offers the opportunity to combine advanced clinical practice, leadership and service development within one of the UK's leading specialist respiratory services. Working alongside the Clinical Specialist Paediatric Physiotherapist and the other Band 7 Paediatric CF Homecare Physiotherapist, you will play a key role in leading, coordinating and continually developing our physiotherapy service for children and young people with CF.

### Main duties of the job

- The role is predominantly community-based, providing specialist physiotherapy in children's homes, schools and satellite clinics, enabling families to receive high-quality care closer to home. You will also provide specialist physiotherapy within outpatient clinics at Royal Brompton Hospital. As well as,  deliver an in-reach service for children admitted to Evelina London Children's Hospital when required, ensuring seamless, integrated care across community and acute settings.

This is a varied and rewarding role that offers significant professional autonomy while working within a supportive, highly skilled multidisciplinary team. You will manage complex clinical presentations, build long-term therapeutic relationships with children and families, and contribute to innovative models of care that support children to live active, healthy lives.

As a senior member of the team, you will be encouraged to lead service improvements, contribute to clinical audit and research, support education and training, and mentor junior colleagues and students.

### Detailed job description and main responsibilities

To be responsible in a team leader role, alongside the clinical specialist (paediatrics) and other band 7 paediatric physiotherapist in cystic fibrosis (CF) homecare, in planning, co-ordinating, delivering and evaluating the physiotherapy service provided to children with cystic fibrosis.

To take a lead role in the assessment and treatment of children with cystic fibrosis, using expert knowledge and skills to determine the physiotherapy management required.

To be able to work in a variety of locations including patient’s homes, satellite clinics, schools, outpatients and clinics at the Royal Brompton Hospital and in-reach at Evelina London Children’s Hospital when required.

To work independently, spending the majority of each day entering patient’s homes as a lone professional.

To communicate effectively and work collaboratively with medical, nursing and allied health professional and other colleagues to ensure delivery of a co-ordinated multi-disciplinary service. This will include case conferences, ward rounds, discharge planning and joint working.

- Significant post graduate experience
- Significant cardiorespiratory experience. To include acute paediatric experience.
- Experience of teaching physiotherapy techniques to families and carers.
- Significant experience of working as an integral member of a multidisciplinary team, including those with complex team dynamics.
- Significant previous practical experience managing children with Cystic Fibrosis
- Experience of working independently within a clinic-based environment.
- Experience working in a community homecare role
- Evidence of continued professional development (CPD)
- Ability to teach in a range of settings including clinical and academic.

**Desirable**

- Experience working with children with complex needs

### Education and Qualifications

**Essential**

- Degree in Physiotherapy BSc (Hons) or equivalent
- Health Professions Council registration
- Relevant validated clinical courses

**Desirable**

- Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP)
- Member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Cystic Fibrosis (ACPCF) and/or The Association of Paediatric Chartered Physiotherapists (APCP)
