Come and join Salford Community Stroke and Neuro Team as a static highly specialist B7 Occupational Therapist. This is a part time role working alongside other B7 OT's and the wider MDT.

Are you an experienced Band 6 OT looking for your next challenge, or a current B7 wanting to come and work at Salford CSNRT, to further utilise and grow your skills and influence our teams service development? We are a hugely supportive team and place great emphasis on staff wellbeing to enable you to be at your best in work.

CSNRT is all about patient led care, equitable access for Stroke and Neuro patients to our fantastic team and our patients are at the heart of everything that we do!

We are a strong MDT comprising of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapist, Dietitians, Nurses, Psychologists, Therapy Instructors/ Senior Assistants, Social Work, Assistant Practitioners and expert Administrative support.

### Main duties of the job

We are looking for a motivated, dedicated and innovative individual to join our specialist service . You will have an extensive and varied background of neurology experience, ideally in Acute and Community, and Stroke and Neuro.

We are looking for:

- Experience mainly in Stroke and Neurorehab in community setting but ideally with some Acute exposure
- Good level of post graduate training in area of speciality
- Supervision of Band 6 staff and below
- Provide rich student placements as Clinical Educator
- Contribute to team development in own profession and wider MDT.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Highly effective communication
- Successful team player
- Ability to demonstrate drive and initiative
- Experience of service improvement projects
- Expected to cover weekends and Bank Holidays on a rota basis
- IT skills applicable to the role
- Ability to cover the geographical footprint in Salford (this does not include public transport)

### Community working

**Essential**

- Ability to cover the geographical footprint e.g. car user. Public transport N/A

### Service development

**Essential**

- Evidence of leading on service improvement projects
- Awareness of Quality Improvement model / PDSA cycle
- Lead on audit project

### Qualifications and Registration

**Essential**

- BSc / pre reg MSc Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registration

### Supervision of staff and students

**Essential**

- Supervision of Band 6 OT staff
- Supervision of non registered staff
- Extensive experience of clinical educator

**Desirable**

- Supervision of static B6 staff in community setting

### Knowledge, Training and Experience

**Essential**

- Significant post registration NHS experience, or equivalent, including experience of working in the specialty as a Band 6.
- Evidence of wide clinical theoretical knowledge base and specialist knowledge in assessment and treatment of Stroke and Neurology patients.
- Highly developed communication and leadership skills
- Significant experience of MDT working
- Ability and evidence to work as part of a team, uni -professionally and multi-professionally
- Extensive CPD in area of speciality

**Desirable**

- Experience in both Acute and Community settings
