We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinical psychologist to join the award-winning rough sleeper mental health team. We are seeking an individual to work within the rough sleeper and RESET service. Providing clinical services directly to people with complex alcohol/substance misuse and mental health problems. Supporting individuals as well as service staff to use strategies that enhance their psychological well-being. The postholder will be expected to participate in the multi-agency RESET meetings to provide guidance, signposting and clinical knowledge to the MDT. Provide assessment, formulation and trauma informed psychological understanding and therapeutic interventions. The post holder will also provide reflective supervision for the service alongside any debriefing and staff support that may be required.
Main duties of the job
The systematic provision of a psychology service to people with complex alcohol/substance misuse and mental health needs served by the service who are also rough sleeping. This is to involve providing specialist psychological assessments, leading to psychological formulations of distress; interpretation and opinion; and forming judgements to inform service provision and providing necessary psychological interventions.
Provide input to the Service, to attend team meetings and contribute to the team’s processes and functions.
Work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the service’s policies and procedures. In so doing, will be responsible for adhering to relevant Trust policies and professional ethics and standards. Will be accountable for both professional and clinical actions.
As a senior clinician, the post holder will develop a field of expertise that is a basis for providing advice to the service within which they work and will contribute to service and project development across the wider Trust area. This to include leading or contributing to training, supervision and governance aspects of the specific models of service delivery.
