Working Full Time:  37.5 hours per week

We are looking for two enthusiastic and experienced individuals to support the Echo Service at The Countess of Chester Hospital undertaking routine, complex and specialised procedures including accurate reporting to support clinical decisions.

The successful applicant will work as part of a team, reporting to the clinical lead and will provide supervision, training and support for more junior staff. This is an exciting opportunity to support the development of the wider Cardiology service at The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

### Main duties of the job

- To provide a diagnostic Cardiac Service to include undertaking routine, complex and specialized procedures as well as completing reports.
- To provide supervision, training and support to more junior staff and training for staff from other disciplines. To continue own professional development, to facilitate and progress in the extensive range of tests performed to enable service development.
- To have excellent communication skills and work well within a team and on your own initiative.
- Ensure compliance with mandatory training requirements.

## Person Specification

### Qualification

**Essential**

- BSc in Clinical Physiology or BTEC in Science
- AHCS membership.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development.
- Intermediate Life Support (ILS)

**Desirable**

- British Society of Echocardiography Accreditation.
- Assessor / Mentorship qualification
- Msc in relevant area.

### Knowledge and Experience

**Essential**

- Evidence of on-going CPD, post qualification specialist theoretical knowledge and clinical practice within Cardiac ultrasound modalities.
- Ability to undertake complex diagnostic tests independently within echocardiography.
- Ability to analyse and interpret complex data producing highly complex reports recognised to BSE standards.
