This role offers the chance to be part of an innovative and forward-thinking department, where your contributions will make a significant impact on patient care. We work a compressed short week with four working days (8:00 AM to 6:00 PM), providing an excellent work-life balance. There is also an element of On-Call responsibility for implanted devices. On successful appointment, we are hopeful that the On-Call commitment will be a 1 in 6 weekends to begin with. Please note, we do not have a PPCI service. A DGH with all the advantages of not being a large centre we still implant and look after all the devices on the market. Being one of the biggest implanters of LBBap we are a forward looking department with great opportunities to further your career Why Join Us? You’ll develop your skills across a range of cutting‑edge invasive and non‑invasive investigations, with support to progress as a CSP leader and ICM Implanter. We’re also exploring flexible ways of working, including the option for one day working from home to support better work–life balance. ## Job Description To see the full detailed job description and main responsibilities of the job please refer the job description attached. ## Responsibilities To see the full detailed job description and main responsibilities of the job please refer the job description attached. ## Person Specification ### Experience **Essential** - Extensive experience of Cardiology/Respiratory or Vascular procedures gained over 4 years either post graduate (up to 2002)/State registered practice (2003 onwards) **Desirable** - Managerial training/experience ### Further Training **Essential** - CPD - Training in NHS procedures, protocols and policies - Ability to report on own clinical work ### Knowledge Requirements **Essential** - Highly specialised expert knowledge and experience across a range of Cardiology in the following areas: - Lead specialist in one area of diagnostics and procedures demonstrating highly specialised technical knowledge and first line management in this area - Extensive practical experience in Cardiology at an independent practice level including investigation, interpretation, reporting, altering therapy and recommending alternative investigations. To be able to identify when emergency medical intervention is required and take appropriate action - Evidence of professional awareness, CPD, and up-to-date knowledge through structured study, reflective practice and peer review.
