The successful candidate will provide clinical supervision to Trainee and Qualified CBT Therapists and Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners, participate in the Clinician on Duty rota, and undertake referral screening and triage of incoming referrals. The role operates within a hybrid model of care delivery and requires demonstrable experience and confidence in delivering assessments, treatment interventions and clinical supervision through telephone, video and face-to-face consultations. As an NHS Talking Therapies service, we provide Low Intensity and High Intensity psychological therapies within a stepped care model at Steps 2 and 3. Our team includes Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners, High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapists, High Intensity Counsellors, Assistant Psychologists, trainees and a supportive administrative team. We are looking for applicants who have enthusiasm for working in a primary care setting, who are adaptable, enjoy variety, and can work independently as well as within a team. In order to be shortlisted for this post, applicants must be qualified and FULLY accredited with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). ### Detailed job description and main responsibilities You will be expected to participate in extended hours clinics offered by the service, including one evening clinic per week until 7.00pm.  The postholder may work across both the Uxbridge and Northwood bases in line with service requirements. In addition to delivering high-quality CBT assessments and treatment interventions, the successful candidate will: - Provide clinical supervision to Trainee and Qualified CBT Therapists. - Provide clinical supervision to Trainee and Qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners. - Participate in the Clinician on Duty rota, providing clinical support and risk management advice. - Undertake referral screening and triage responsibilities. - Support the development of trainees and less experienced clinicians. - Attend team meetings, training and service development activities. You will receive regular supervision and support from a BABCP Accredited Senior Clinician, as well as benefit from peer support and guidance from other team members. The CNWL Talking Therapies Hillingdon Service has close links with Talking Therapies teams across CNWL and there are opportunities for further professional development within our service. ## Person Specification ### PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE **Essential** - Experience of working in an IAPT service or other primary care setting. - Experience of specialist cognitive-behavioural psychotherapeutic assessment and treatment of adult patients in a mental health setting and presenting with problems that reflect the full range of clinical severity. - Specialist experience acquired through having conducted substantial hours of supervised assessment and therapy during training. - Experience of teaching, training and supervision. - Experience of delivering assessments and treatments remotely via video platforms. **Desirable** - Specialist psychotherapeutic working experience. - Experience of the application of psychotherapy in difference cultural contexts. - Experience of working within a primary care/community setting. - Research skills and knowledge and aptitude. ### Education and Qualifications **Essential** - Must be fully or provisionally accredited with the BABCP or have completed a BABCP accredited high intensity CBT course or diploma programme. - Substantial specialist knowledge, theory and skills of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy acquired through diploma / degrees with BABCP accreditation. - Critical understanding of the relevance of studies of human development, psychopathology, psychology, social issues and evidence based practice. **Desirable** - Qualified/Registered Mental Health Professional ### SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES **Essential** - Skills in the use of methods of cognitive behavioural therapy assessment, intervention and management including the use of theoretical models to analyse information and to develop formulations upon which to base treatment. - Ability to work as a lone practitioner.
