### Job summary

At InHealth, we are expanding our Endoscopy team and are looking for a Healthcare Support Worker / Decontamination Technician to join our brand-new Community Diagnostic Centre in Bristol.

This is a dual role with a significant focus on decontamination. Approximately 50% of your time will be spent in our decontamination unit, carrying out the essential cleaning and processing of endoscopes to ensure they are safe, compliant, and ready for patient procedures. This is a highly important, technical part of the service and plays a critical role in patient safety and infection prevention.

### Main duties of the job

- Carry out endoscope decontamination, using specialist equipment to clean, disinfect and prepare scopes in line with strict clinical standards
- Ensure all equipment is safe, compliant and ready for procedures, reporting any faults or issues promptly
- Support patient care, including welcoming patients and assisting in line with care plans set by senior staff
- Maintain clean, safe and organised clinical and decontamination areas at all times
- Communicate effectively with patients and the multidisciplinary team to support a smooth service
