The centre has 3 theatres, a 7 bedded recovery area, a 33-bedded inpatient ward and a dedicated Orthopaedic Outpatient Department. NHS Fife Orthopaedics have led the way in delivering an innovative and excellent service, currently providing same day major joint replacement surgery, implementing the philosophy of Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) and providing excellent standards of care. We are looking for 2 motivated and enthusiastic Health Care Support Workers to join our NHS Fife Elective Orthopaedic Outpatient nursing team in our new, state of the art, purpose built Orthopaedic centre. The Outpatient Department delivers consultant, nurse and AHP led clinics, seeing both elective and fracture/trauma outpatients, featuring innovative digital design to deliver excellent forward thinking care. These posts will suit enthusiastic candidates who would like to develop skills in a friendly and supportive team within this new dynamic service. We are looking for caring and compassionate Health Care Support Workers with an interest in orthopaedic skill development to provide exceptional care to our patients. Successful candidates will be offered excellent learning opportunities and experiences for professional and personal development in line with the 2030 nursing vision. The successful candidates must have effective communication, interpersonal and leadership skills. Personal qualities should include exemplary organisational skills together with a motivated positive approach and the ability to work productively within the team. There are two 20 hour positions available and each post’s hours will be split over 4 days. The days will change on a rotational basis to meet the needs of the service.
