Join Our Dedicated CAMHS Eating Disorder Team

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and rewarding service where no two days are the same. We are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate, and motivated individual with excellent problem-solving skills, flexibility, and a genuine passion for improving outcomes for children and young people.

As a key member of the Eating Disorder Service, you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of the clinical pathway and helping to monitor the physical and emotional health and wellbeing of children and young people experiencing eating disorders. You will work alongside registered professionals to support the assessment and monitoring of young people with complex mental health needs, promoting early intervention, healthy lifestyles, and positive wellbeing outcomes.

This role offers a unique opportunity to develop specialist skills within a well-established service while making a meaningful difference to the lives of children, young people, and their families. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to build effective relationships, offering person-centred care that meets the individual needs of each young person.

Please note the Trust will not routinely provide sponsorship to work for this role. Employment on a time limited visa doesnt guarantee sponsorship at point of expiry.

### Main duties of the job

The ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels.

Working flexibly to provide the service delivery need across the county (the service operates from 9 am - 5 pm, Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays). The service operates across Hereford & Worcestershire and there may be occasions where cover is required across both counties.

An enthusiastic, motivated and innovative thinker to become part of a Children and Young People facing community.

The ability to work autonomously to manage your own diary whilst working within a multi-disciplinary team.

The ability to problem solve and manage time effectively.

Experience of working in a fast paced and varied environment.

Aspects of the role would also include: close working within the MDT, undertaking Physical Health Observations for Children and Young people including venepuncture.

Bespoke Training specific to the role will be offered.

### Job responsibilities

Deliver high standard of nursing care under the supervision and direction of registered staff for CYP in clinics or own home, where appropriate.

Deliver personal care to patients and following appropriate training and competency assessment, carry out specific tasks delegated by the trained practitioner.

Attend regular training and demonstrate continued competency in these areas of practice.

Promote effective communication with CYP, carers and colleagues.

Be aware of safeguarding policies and issues related to vulnerable CYP, reporting any concerns to a registered nurse.

Monitor and record physical health observations, including venepuncture, as directed by trained practitioner.

Report any changes or concerns relating to CYP condition or circumstances to registered nurses.

Be aware of the patients nutritional needs identifying any barriers to good nutrition and record any changes.

Maintain contemporaneous Electronic Patient Records.

Attend team MDT, formulation, clinical supervision meetings.

## Person Specification

### Knowledge

- IT Literate.

### Experience

- Experience of working with children and young people.
- Experience of working in caring settings.
- Community experience.

**Desirable**

- Previous NHS experience.

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Level 3 qualification (e.g. A-level, NVQ3) in Care or Level 2 qualification (e.g. GCSE Grade A-C) in Care and will be expected to undertake the relevant Level 3 qualification on appointment to post.
- Will be expected to meet the Care Certificate standards within 12 weeks of commencing employment with the Trust.
- I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer.
