The Surgery Division includes emergency and elective surgery including specialities general surgery, breast, ENT, urology, orthopaedics, ophthalmology and rheumatology. This is inclusive of theatres and the Critical Care Unit. This makes for a varied division of services with a common focus of providing safe and effective patient care. Please note: This role is not eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK at the time of application, as we are unable to support visa applications for this position. ### Main duties of the job Successful candidates will be expected to provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, whilst being supported by our dynamic multi disciplinary team. Critical Care is an 18 bedded unit caring for level 2 and level 3 patients from a variety of specialties. The unit undertakes long days with an internal rotation to night duty. You will have a supernumerary period to support you in your induction. You will be guided and supported with many of our multidisciplinary team members including medical staff, outreach, physio, dietician etc. Staff are supported during each of their shifts by an excellent team of nurses and each day is led by a band 7 team leader to further support staff and decision making within the unit. With the help of our supportive teams we can facilitate a safe and comfortable transition for new and exciting learning and development.
