We provide high-quality, trauma-informed inpatient care for adults with complex and acute mental health needs who often cannot be effectively supported in traditional hospital environments. ### Main duties of the job - Provide high-quality, compassionate care and assistance with daily living activities (e.g., personal care, nutrition, hygiene). - Provide enhanced support to patients as directed by the Nurse in Charge - Build therapeutic, trust-based relationships with patients who have experienced significant trauma. - Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to implement and review patient care plans. - Use de-escalation and safe physical intervention techniques where required to maintain safety. - Escort and support patients during appointments, community access, and therapeutic activities. - Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation (e.g., vital signs, food and fluid charts, incident reports). - Promote infection control, safeguarding, and health and safety standards across the ward. - Contribute to structured therapeutic programmes and group activities. - Always uphold professional boundaries, patient dignity, and confidentiality. ### About us Queensway Hospital is a Mental Health service in association with the Ellern Mede Group.
