Come and join our Health Visiting Service team. We have full and part-time vacancies based in Reading. If you are a dynamic, enthusiastic and experienced Health Visitor, you could be part of our forward-thinking, vibrant team.

You will work within Reading to deliver core and targeted services to children aged 0–5 and their families. We ask that you have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to work in partnership with other teams and agencies, and a passion for working with children and families.

You will be supported by a Health Visiting manager and colleagues, as we believe in developing staff. We maintain a team-focused approach and use technology to support our service. We offer a robust induction and preceptorship programme, appraisal process, ongoing safeguarding, clinical and management supervision, and training to support career development.

We have been awarded ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC and are fully Baby Friendly accredited. We share the organisation’s vision, values and goals to deliver safe and effective services. Commitment to teamwork, flexibility and partnership working is essential, collaborating with Children’s Centres to deliver the Healthy Child Programme underpinned by the Solihull Approach.

### Main duties of the job

If you regard yourself as an enthusiastic and dynamic qualified health visitor then you may be suitable to join our forward thinking, vibrant team of health visitors in Reading. Whether you are an experienced health visitor or have only just received your qualification, we will ensure you receive devoted, effective support from both your health visiting line manager and colleagues within your team.

You will work within the Reading area to deliver core and targeted services to children aged 0-5 and their families. You will require excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work in partnership with other teams and agencies, along with great communication skills and a passion for working with children and families.

A commitment to team working, flexibility and working with partners is essential, as you will collaborate with Children’s Centre’s in the implementation of the Healthy Child Programme underpinned by the Solihull Approach model of working.

Some of the general responsibilities include:

- Develop and implement outcome focused care plans and evaluate care given, in partnership with clients.

- Provide support to families using the Solihull approach model in behaviour management, parenting skills and delivering programmes of care to vulnerable families.

- Develop and facilitate Health Visiting drop in clinics, health promotion activities and groups.

The "must haves" for this role:

- You must be a Registered Public Health Nurse (Health Visiting) active on the NMC register

- Ability to carry/manoeuvre light to moderate loads

- You will be a Non-medical prescriber

- You will hold a valid UK drivers license with access to a vehicle

### Previous Experience

**Essential**

- Experience in management of cases where a child has a protection plan
- Leadership experience
- Experience of interagency working
- Experience of community clinics

- Car Driver who holds full driving licence
