An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team as a Health Intervention Coordinator.

The post holder will lead on the development and implementation of a specialist local health improvement programme and will evaluate the effectiveness of the programme for staff; identifying alternative strategies as needed.

This role will hold the responsibility for the assessment, planning, communication, and implementation of health promotion activities for all staff across the Health Board, including liaising with all relevant stakeholders within the organisation as well as the community.

The role will encompass the development and maintenance of:

- a Peer Vaccinator Model in association with the clinical areas within the Health Board. a Wellbeing Champion Model in association with
- the Staff Psychological Wellbeing Service.

The post holder will be responsible for the evaluation and development of new health and wellbeing initiatives to support the health and  wellbeing of staff.

### Main duties of the job

The main duties of the role will include the following:

- Develop and implement a sustainable, organisation-wide health promotion programme aligned with relevant national policies, best practices, and workforce wellbeing frameworks.
- Lead the development of long-term strategies to meet Welsh Government targets and sustain health promotion across the workforce.
- Provide specialist advice and practical support to staff to enable engagement in innovative approaches to improving health and wellbeing.
- Attend and contribute to relevant internal and external forums.
- Lead the annual staff influenza vaccination programme, including planning, communication, data collection, and reporting.
- Work closely with Communications, Public Health, and Infection Prevention and Control teams to maximise uptake and achieve vaccination targets.
- Support and expand a sustainable ‘Peer Vaccinator’ model by identifying, training, and developing staff in this role.
- Ensure effective and efficient use of resources, including authorisation of relevant expenditure

- Relevant experience within change management, motivational interviewing and health promotion
- Experience of undertaking gap analysis assessments and implementing health improvement programmes

### Qualifications and Knowledge

**Essential**

- Possession of a relevant degree and experience.
- Possession of a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline, or working towards a Master’s with equivalent level of knowledge and experience
- Clear understanding of the underpinning evidence, guidelines e.g. NICE Guidelines

**Desirable**

- Knowledge of specialist public health field acquired through relevant degree plus additional training
