No two days will be the same — this is a dynamic, outward-facing role combining clinical care, community engagement, education and service improvement. Due to the nature of the work and patient group you will be working with and providing support to, fluency in a second language is desirable element for this postholder. You will be fully integrated within the specialist lung cancer nursing team, providing expert support across lung cancer from diagnosis and treatment pathway. ### Main duties of the job A key focus of the role is addressing inequalities in access, outcomes and research participation for this particular cohort of patient group. You will actively engage with local communities and stakeholders, raise awareness, provide education, and advocate for patients — particularly those from underserved groups. You will also work closely with clinical and research teams to improve understanding of, and participation in, clinical trials within diverse communities.
