SURGICAL DEPARTMENT

BAND 2 HEALTHCARE ASSISTANT – Surgical Ward

Post – Full Time

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Surgical Directorate at Ysbyty Gwynedd for a number of permanent Band 2 Healthcare Assistant.

### Main duties of the job

Experience in an Acute Hospital setting would be an advantage, but training will be given.

The position involves working within the Surgical Unit; this supports both emergency and elective patients’ on the surgical pathway.

The successful candidates will be required to work on an internal rotation contract within the ward environment.

Applicants must have an approachable manner necessary to deal with patients and their relatives and desirable experience of a hospital environment.

Applicants will work as part of a team of nurses on the ward and undertake patient care tasks under the direct or indirect supervision of a Registered General Nurse responsible for the patient’s management.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
