You’ll support people attending our day centre through personalised care, helping them stay independent, safe and included.

You’ll be part of a friendly, supportive team that works closely with colleagues and carers. Your role will help create a welcoming environment where people feel respected and valued. Every day, you’ll help individuals enjoy meaningful activities and receive care that meets their needs and choices.

Please note that this advertised vacancy does not meet the UKVI eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa and therefore City Health Care Partnership would not be able to issue a Certificate of Sponsorship for this role

### Main duties of the job

- Support people with personal care, mobility, eating and drinking
- Encourage independence while promoting dignity and respect
- Help people take part in social, recreational and therapeutic activities
- Communicate clearly with service users, carers and colleagues
- Keep accurate records and follow care plans and policies
- Experience or a qualification in adult health or social care, or a willingness to learn
- Caring, patient and respectful approach to supporting others
- Confidence working with people who may feel distressed or unwell
- Ability to work well in a team and manage your own tasks
- Basic IT skills and willingness to complete required training

### Applicant requirements

## Person Specification

### Knowledge

**Essential**

- Knowledge of working in a health care environment

**Desirable**

- Good understanding of basic IT skills

### Experience

**Essential**

- Recent experience of working with patients in a healthcare, homecare or care home setting
- Experience of prioritising own workload

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Level 2 qualification or equivalent level of experience in Adult Health and Social Care

**Desirable**

- Hold Care Certificate or willingness to complete within induction period.
