The role of the Bank Health Care Assistant is varied, challenging, and rewarding. It requires a positive outlook and an ability to develop and maintain a meaningful therapeutic relationship with the service users. Shifts are available Trust wide, which include Halifax, Dewsbury, Huddersfield, Wakefield and Barnsley therefore the ability to commute within the Trusts geographical area with access to the appropriate means of transport is essential. Criteria for being registered on the Trust Bank is that you can commit to a minimum of 4 shifts in a 6 month period and all mandatory training is kept up to date.If you are successful at interview you will be required as part of your bank registration to undertake all mandatory training, please take this into consideration when applying for this post. Work as part of a healthcare team, provide the highest standards of safe and compassionate planned care to people that maximises their recovery and rehabilitation potential. Ensure the care experienced is positive and service user safety is maintained. Treat everyone, eg, service users, their relatives, visitors, colleagues etc, with respect, dignity and courtesy and in accordance with the Trusts Values. Follow and ensure care is provided in accordance with well-established policies, procedures, protocols, guidelines and established clinical care plans. Undertake the physical aspects of care eg, moving and handling of service users.
