### Job overview

The Head of Security leads the development and delivery of comprehensive security, safety and systems management across the service line.

The role ensures a safe, secure environment for patients, staff and visitors by overseeing physical, procedural and relational security systems, fire safety, and emergency preparedness. It provides expert advice, delivers specialist training, and leads security risk management, audits and compliance with national standards.

You will manage security reception staff and contractors, drive continuous improvement, and support incident response, contributing to organisational resilience, patient safety and the effective operation of secure services.
