The post holder will be specifically responsible for the radiation dosimetry and quality assurance programme of the radiotherapy treatment units. This includes the external beam treatment units and the brachytherapy afterloading units and sealed sources.  They are also the line manager for the Head of Radiotherapy Engineering and responsible for ensuring radiotherapy equipment is maintained in accordance with manufactures specifications. The post holder acts as a Medical Physics Expert as defined by legislation (IRMER 2024). The post-holder forms part of the multi-disciplinary team providing radiotherapy services to patients within NUH; collaborating with clinicians and other staff over the strategic direction for radiotherapy and the optimal way to provide a high quality, patient centred radiotherapy service. ### Main duties of the job To be responsible for and manage the dosimetry and quality assurance of all the radiotherapy treatment units and dosimetry equipment in accordance with all relevant legislation and guidance.
