### Job summary

Do you have the strategic leadership skills to shape and deliver neighbourhood health?

This is a rare opportunity to join the Neighbourhood Health team in NHS Birmingham, the Black Country and Solihull Cluster ICB. You will lead the commissioning design and programme management of community transformation initiatives that support the NHS Long Term Plan ambition for care closer to home, prevention, and neighbourhood health, ensuring the six core components of neighbourhood health are commissioned coherently and delivered by providers through aligned contracts, specifications and outcomes frameworks.

Reporting to the Associate Director for Neighbourhood Health, the post holder will be responsible for translating system and place-level commissioning strategy into deliverable commissioning programmes, ensuring effective engagement with providers, local authorities, VCSE partners and communities.

The role will have a primary focus on community services, neighbourhood teams and out of hospital pathways, supporting improved access, reduced hospital demand and better population outcomes.

### Main duties of the job

As the Head of Programme for Community Services, you will lead the system wide development.

2. Lead the strategic commissioning approach for community services

3. Delivery of agreed milestones, benefits and outcomes within community services portfolios

4. Work to reduce health inequalities and improve outcomes for the cluster population

5. Supporting the commissioning of integrated community service models, delivered by providers

6. Day to day leadership of programme teams and workstreams within the community portfolio

7. Leading an effective strategic commissioning team

8. Escalation and mitigation of risks, issues and dependencies

9. Deputising for the Associate Director as appropriate
