In this role, you will be responsible for upholding and advancing clinical standards as outlined in the NHS Cancer Quality Standards, including the National Cancer Waiting Times Standards and the Cancer Outcomes Framework. You will support matrons, clinical nurse specialists, nurses, allied health professionals (including ACPs), and support workers across diverse specialities such as oncology, haematology, cancer performance, and outpatients, ensuring adherence to evidence-based practices and NICE guidance for cancer care. Your focus will be on ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and voices of both patients and staff are prioritised, in line with the NHS Cancer Patient Experience Survey standards. Autonomy, compassionate professional advice, and a flexible, visible, and responsive approach are essential. ### Main duties of the job As Lead Nurse for Cancer, you will report directly to the  Director of Nursing for Specialist Clinical Services and collaborate closely with the Care group leadership team.
