We are looking for a friendly, reliable and organised individual to join our administrative team within the busy Gastrointestinal Suspected Cancer Service.

You should have excellent communications skills and be effective in working closely with clinical and non-clinical staff, and have a flexible and patient centered approach.

You should also have previous administrative experience and be able to organise and prioritise your own workload.

An understanding of local and national NHS cancer targets would be desirable.

Flexibility, teamwork and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere are at the heart of how we operate.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys detailed work, problem‑solving and delivering great customer service.

### Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for managing the referrals that come through to the GI Suspected Cancer Service.

Other duties will include:

Triaging suspected cancer referrals within set clinical guidelines and placing orders for diagnostic tests or outpatient appointments.

Booking patient appointments within local and national cancer targets using endoscopy and outpatient schedules, making effective use of available capacity.

Be responsible for sending pre-procedure preparation to a select cohort of patients.

Spread sheet data entry and daily management of patient results.

Typing clinical correspondence and posting letters.

Log into and manage incoming service call queue and respond to patient voicemails.

Dealing with telephone and email enquiries.

Minute taking for team meetings.

Stock collection and inventory.

-        or you will have successfully completed your course and have applied for a Graduate visa before the anticipated start date of your employment
