The Role

To work under the supervision of registered therapy staff to assist patients to achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Undertake baseline assessments within clearly defined parameters for the identified service.

Implement, adapt and progress treatment programmes within agreed protocols and defined parameters.

Use specialist technical and practical skills to deliver flexible, patient centred programmes across a variety of clinical settings.

Discharge or transition care within agreed protocols and defined parameters

### Please note this is a fixed term post until 31/05/2027. Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment. The employee MUST already have written agreement from their line manager to be released on a secondment before applying for the post.

In this key role, you will:

Responsible for a delegated clinical caseload of patients whose treatment follows clearly defined parameters.

Assess, implement, progress treatment and discharge in accordance with agreed protocols and parameters.

Plan and prioritise delegated patient caseload.

Plan and organise a range of therapeutic activities/clinics

Deliver prescribed education sessions including patient/carer advice to selected groups of patients.

Provide updates to the registered therapist regarding patients’ progress and response to treatment.

What You'll Bring:

HNC in healthcare, education or social cares or SVQ III in healthcare, education or social care or equivalent experience in a health, education or social care environment.

Short specialist courses relevant to specific clinical area.

Awareness of health legislation relevant to the clinical area.

Knowledge of the therapeutic process, techniques and / or activities relevant to client group.

Basic assessment skills.

Ability to apply a range of technical and practical rehabilitation skills

A driving licence is required; this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
