We at the Cornwall Foundation Trust are looking for motivated and enthusiastic General Service's Assistant's to join our team, working in Bodmin Community Hospital.

As a GSA you are an integral part of the team and tasked with various duties including deep cleaning, portering, food preparation and delivery. You will be working within a team but the ability to work alone is beneficial.

### Main duties of the job

The purpose of the post is: To provide a complete level of ancillary service to the Clinical Unit/Ward Manager and the outpatient departments. This is a key post, vital to maintaining the Organisation’s hygiene and control of infections

### Applicant requirements

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.

### Skills and Aptitude

**Essential**

- Able to carry out cleaning tasks to a high standard
- Good communication skills
- Basic IT Skills

### Education and Experience

**Essential**

- Experience of preparing and serving meals for a range of clients with different dietary requirements
- Good basic level of ability in Maths and English

**Desirable**

- NVQ Level 2 equivalent qualification/experience
- Experience of working in a care setting
