We have an exciting opportunity for a General Practitioner to join our Primary Care team at HMP Hewell, a category B remand prison based in Redditch, Worcestershire. HMP Hewell has a fast paced healthcare environment delivering care to males aged 21+, with a range of needs including substance misuse and long term conditions. Within this role you will be joining an established multidisciplinary team and undertake segregation rounds as well as clinical sessions.

Hours

Mondays: 08:30 - 17:00 This is a part-time role working 8 paid hours / 2 sessions. Additional hours are available to extend the shift up to 12 hours.

Salary

Youll receive an annual salary up to £125,468 per annum FTE depending on experience.

- Deliver first class healthcare to a diverse group of patients, and therefore as a General Practitioner at Practice Plus Group you get the opportunity to further develop your knowledge in areas you wouldnt usually experience within a practice, or even A&E environment.
- Provide clinical assessment and diagnosis to patients requirements and make timely decisions regarding future management.

Requirements

- MBChB or MBBS
- Inclusion on the GMC Register and GP Performers List
- Evidence of engagement with annual appraisal
- Experience working as a General Practitioner in community general practice
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Ability to work with patients with a history of substance misuse
- RCGP Certificate in Substance Misuse 1 and 2, or prepared to undertake these qualifications

### Job responsibilities

As a GP you will respond to medical problems presented by patients including diagnosis, investigation, treatment and referral as appropriate in line with guidelines and pathways. Including prescribing for patients, regularly review medications and monitor repeat prescriptions.
