The post under BMA contract is between the hours of 8.00am and 18.30pm. There are no OOH commitments with the role but we have an on call GP every day and you would be expected to do this one day a week. The post holder must be dedicated, responsible, and driven to contribute to the innovative and forward-thinking practice direction. ### Main duties of the job Routine surgeries consisting of prebooked and on the day slots (15minutes). Mix of face to face and telephone depending on patient preferences, offered at either Montgomery or the branch site in Newtown. Participation in practice audit and quality improvement activities. Participation in nursing home ward rounds if appropriate for days of week worked. Completion of some reports, to be negotiated. No extended hours requirements. ### About us Montgomery Medical Practice is a rural, dispensing GP Practice with around 8100 patients situated on the border of Montgomeryshire/Shropshire. Despite its idyllic rural location Montgomery is within a short (30 minute) drive of Shrewsbury and an hour and a half from Birmingham. We have a multidisciplinary team that includes Physician Associates, Nurse Prescriber, Practice Nurses and Health Care Assistants. We are a training practice.
