Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust (CWPT) provides community, day care and respite services for children and young people across Coventry, Warwickshire and Solihull. The children’s services have reorganised, providing the opportunity for an enhanced experience and better outcomes for children, young people and their families which makes it an exciting time to join us!

The post-holder is a key member of the new integrated Children’s Directorate Senior Management Team and will be the Operational lead for the Physical Health and Learning Disabilities services. This post will work in partnership with the Safety, Quality and Professional Leadership, service managers, clinical leaders and business partners to oversee operational clinical service delivery.

We are seeking an organised, innovative, and flexible individual with proven leadership and managerial skills at a senior level who can lead these services to provide excellent care. We are looking for someone who believes, when clinically appropriate, the community is the best place to provide care to children and young people, is keen to work collaboratively making a contribution and shares our vision of optimising clinical skills to provide excellent care to children and young people so they can lead their best life.

### Main duties of the job

To operate as a key member of the directorate Senior Management Team which oversees the effective delivery of all services within the directorate and the delivery of all of the directorate’s objectives and responsibilities.

To provide strong, clear, motivational and visible leadership across all of the services and in particular for care pathways and services within their specific portfolio.

To lead on the implementation of new ways of working and cultural change where necessary for delivery of service transformation.

To ensure that services continually review and improves the quality, effectiveness and safety of care, actively seeking out and learning the lessons from complaints, compliments, investigations, reviews, reports and other information and intelligence.

To regularly review the workforce to ensure services are appropriately staffed with staff who have the right level of knowledge, skill and expertise to deliver services in the most effective and efficient way.

To ensure services are fully compliant with all relevant Trust policies, standards and procedures, and are part of and contribute effectively to systems of clinical governance.

To represent the directorate at a senior level within the Trust, and with local, regional and national partners, services and agencies.

### Experience

- Experience and achievements at a senior management level within the NHS managing a range of professional groups
- Demonstrable experience of building effective teams and networks
- Experience of working with other agencies on projects, including leading on these projects
- Strategic development experience, including working across organisational boundaries and planning and implementing joint projects
- Responsible for strategic planning and budgetary control for a large directorate or several services
- Experience and commitment to involve patients and service users in the design and development of service provision
- track record  of achieving challenging healthcare targets

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Management qualification to masters level or demonstrable equivalent experience
- Evidence of continuing professional and managerial development
