We have an exciting secondment opportunity to join our Trust as General Manager – OMFS and Ophthalmology (8C). Reporting to the Clinical Director for OMFS and Ophthalmology. We welcome applications from NHS employees who are able to join us for a 6 month secondment.

We are looking to speak with motivated, compassionate, and resilient leaders with an excellent track record of delivering improvements to clinical pathways and access standards. You will bring significant experience in a senior operational role plus evidence of success in developing services that deliver high quality patient care. You will be confident and comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels and be expected to establish and maintain relationships which enable the Trust to operate effectively with clinicians, managers and partners focused on improving outcomes and services to patients.

### Experience

**Essential**

- Experience in a leadership/managerial role in a complex acute environment
- Experience of directly managing pay and non-pay budgets
- Experience of direct staff management of a large team of staff
- Experience of supporting staff and developing staff members
- Experience of active performance management
- Experience of providing services to a high quality with restricted resources
- Experience of leading and supporting staff through change
- Experience of implementing change management projects to develop or improve services
- Experience of managing and delivering access standards
- Experience of managing effective booking and appointment processes
- Experience of implementing change management utilising technologies
- Experience of business case preparation, presentation and implementation
- Project management experience

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Educated to degree level or able to demonstrate specialist knowledge within this field through practical experience
- Evidence of relevant professional management training and/or qualification
