We are looking for a capable and enthusiastic colleague who will contribute to the resident on call cover for obstetrics and gynaecology and also help in development of the urogynaecology and hysteroscopy services over the next decade and beyond. The Trust merged with Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals Sussex to form University Hospitals Sussex in 2021. Our current birth rate is approximately 2000 per annum at St Richards Hospital. The trust also has a high level of gynaecological activity. Gynaecology services include two-week rule diagnostics, urogynaecology, ambulatory gynaecology including colposcopy and outpatient hysteroscopy, specialist early pregnancy services and paediatric gynaecology. The post is primarily intended to be situated at the St Richard’s site but commitments at Worthing Hospital and  Southlands Hospitals Sites may be necessary. The Trust is committed to maintaining good quality teaching and training of junior medical staff/medical students and the successful candidate will be expected to actively support this and encourage audit and research.
