### Job summary

Band 5 Flu Vaccinator Nurse (Fixed-Term Contract)

Join our Staff Flu Vaccination Team and help protect our workforce this winter.

We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Registered Nurses (Band 5) to join our supportive Occupational Health team on a fixed-term basis from mid-September to the end of November to deliver the Trust's annual staff flu vaccination programme.

Working across a variety of Trust locations, you will play a key role in ensuring staff have convenient access to flu vaccinations, helping to protect both colleagues and patients during the winter season.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will:

Be a Registered Nurse (NMC registered).

Have previous experience in vaccination delivery/immunisation programmes.

Demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills.

Be able to work independently while contributing to a supportive team environment.

Hold a valid driving licence and have access to your own transport, as travel between Trust sites is required.

### Main duties of the job

Deliver safe and effective flu vaccinations to Trust staff.

Work across multiple Trust sites as part of a mobile vaccination team.

Provide advice and information relating to the flu vaccination programme.

Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.

Support the promotion of staff vaccination uptake throughout the campaign.

## Person Specification

### Experience

**Essential**

- Experience in vaccination
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes
- Knowledge of national immunisation schedules and flu vaccine guidance
- IT literacy, including use of electronic patient record systems
- Up to date with BLS/anaphylaxis training or willing to complete
- Experience working under a PGD, written instruction or National vaccination protocol
- Attended an approved immunisation training update (or introduction to immunisation training) within the past 12 months; or completed / willing to complete 3 core immunisation modules on eLFH and submit evidence
- Completed / willing to complete the 2 flu specific modules on eLFH and submit evidence

**Desirable**

- Experience in large vaccination programmes
- Experience using NHS endorsed PoC systems (NIVS/RAVS) to record vaccination events

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- BSc Nursing, RN currently registered with NMC
